About Mitch
Meet Mitch Whitaker
Born and raised in Letcher County, Mitch Whitaker embodies the courage and grit that Kentucky workers are known for. Raised in a working-class family of six, Mitch learned the value of hard work early on. His family faced many of the struggles that are far too common for the middle class: job loss, work injuries, and even the loss of a parent when he was 17. Despite these challenges, he became the first lawyer in his family. Since graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law, Mitch has fought for everyday Kentuckians both as a lawyer and as a public servant. He currently serves as a State Representative in addition to his legal work. Whether it's in a courtroom or at the state capitol, nobody fights harder for Kentucky workers than Mitch.
